once you reset your router... Or the 24hour reset happens. Thing is if you downloading past 12:00 and your router resets and you sleeping, could eat up next months cap...

i just reset my router now, and even though ive used 40gb this month i havent been capped........

so technically next months cap should only start being used tomorrow at 6 in the night(in 24hrs)?

yes...

I would rather put my pc into bridge mode at least then when the "24hour" reset happens you will be disconnected and not take a nice bite out of next months cap...

Otherwise you never know when your router has reset the connection

If you download 1GB in a session over 30th and 1st 500MB belongs to 30th and 500MB to 1st, thats how SAIX does their billing atleast.

Best you cut your downloads at 11:55. It mentions all this on www.saix.co.za Usage Tracker - FAQ section

my reset happens at around 10 and even with my router not in bridge mode it disconnects.....

Only started happening after I went the dual core route....

Which ISP and what type of account if I may ask?

Ok, I am not going to create a new thread for this, but for some or other reason, even if I download like mad on a TelkomInternet during the first few days of the month, the usage reports still say 0 GB during those first few days. At soem or other random point (it seems) they start counting. I don't understand it. does it happen to anyone else?

TelkomTracker is messed, if SAIX tracker isnt tracking that would be BIG news.
