I remember seeing an article last year about line rental being phased out, is there any update to this as line rental seems to be increasing each year. due to this i decided to get the lte wifi deal from telkom last year (599 deal) it was great in the beggining now i get shaped every month depite asking the employees at telkom when i started with the contract that is it truly unlimited of which they agreed and i also asked them if i can download 1 TB a month if i wanted to (as a question of interest and won't be shaped) and they said it was fine. however as we all no this was not the case.
That is why i am back interesting in adsl as a fallback option in the event i get shaped (yes every month) so i can still have better speeds than 1mbps, of which is when i saw openwebs great deals today, but then i checked the deals won't be so great with the line rental and telephone line accounts adding on top of it.
