Home sweet home :)
anyone have any idea when the last time is that Vodacom dropped their prices on data, or lifted their caps 'for the same price' ?

(and no this miserable promotion that barely lasted 2 months of 10% free data doesnt count....)

ROFL my bad thought it said Telkom LOL!

It was about the same time MTN last dropped their prices.....see the catch?

Now since MTN doesn't seem to know whether they're going up or down or to India....i guess Vodacom has no reason to do anything.

thanks... really was hoping for someone to reply "hang in there they have plans for next week!" not for "dont hold ur breath' lol

That brings tears to my eyes. lol. paying for 2 to 3gig a month is getting costly. :p

Me too.I get the sense we are all expecting some sort of bundle increase with Vodacom using seacom with gateway.ASDL wont happen for me due to line reactivation, set up costs and debit orders.I have a perfectly good HSDPA prepaid modem with a great signal, yet im paying seriously high amounts for 2 tiny gigs.*looks up at the sky with a single tear in the left eye*

Yep, there's serious competition with ADSL at the moment, but I refuse to install a Telkom line out of principle.

The R389 for my 2 Gig puts a tear in my eye as as well, but sadly there's no real competition seeing that we only have Vodacom and MTN as providers at the moment.

Vodacom will follow next time MTN reduce tariffs/increase bundles

I will say this ONCE only and never forget it.............

Vodafone / VodaCom does not drop prices Voluntarily.

They do this all over the world where they Operate.

They will only drop prices when their Competitors who are in line with them drop prices and they don't want to lose their clients.

Please dont expect any price cuts or extra data from Vodafone / Vodacom on their own in the near future, it won't happen.

Telkom / Neotel are both looking at some price cuts / More Bandwith in the near future, so i suggest you rather keep your eyes focussed on them.

Telkom / Neotel will come to be the more reliable more affordable broadband providers in SA.

Im waiting patiently as well for an alternative and I can see 'them' on the horizon. The only edge VC has at the moment is in its >>>>MOBILE>> feature which works 'better', relative to a small extent, than the competition but like I said the competition is on the horizon who will offer competitive >>>MOBILE>> and even BETTER prepaid features. :)
VC! after almost 6 years of my support im ready to get out of here! :)
