Where are the single men?

Maybe she's Irish?

Fsks you guys are negative about kids, they are amazing but if the parents are screwed up then the kids take it all on and not surprisingly that little cauldron of witches brew can turn out a rather unhappy situation for all involved.

Get your ducks in a row then have kids. Don't have kids thinking they'll magically get your ducks in a row that doesn't happen, granted some people do serendipitously see the light after getting kids but by and large kids will just aggravate an already open wound... then the septicemia sets in.

TOO many people in toxic relationships. Some people just seems to be afraid to be alone, going from one bad relationship to another. If you are a broken person, get help. Don't think that some woman or meaningless sex is going to fill that emotional void in your life.

Get to the point in your life where you are happy in the things you do and then decide to then share it with someone. If you find someone great if you don't then do not start contemplating suicide just because you don't have a woman in your life.

@spiderz well exactly. One can't shorten time or change a natural process.

In my experience - in the past it has taken at least two years to get to know someone properly.LOL

Only saw this thread now, have input!

I was driving on a long trip the other day with a mate of mine, he is single aged 49 and went through a bitter divorce and was telling me his life story, saying that he found it hard to trust woman again and did not want to get married again.

He also had a girlfriend recently, who we all thought was his next marriage victim, but he was running out of time and could not go through the entire ritual of spending years together to find each other's faults.

So he came up with a smart plan!

The Camping Trip!

Turns out, if you take your "new" partner on a road trip for two weeks that involves camping, all the cracks start to appear rapidly, all the dislikes about each other show their true faces after spending a few nights next to each other in a cramped tent or a small car driving for endless kilometers..... Needless to say, by Day ten of the experiment, she revealed herself for who she really was and in silence he promptly took her home and forever left her there....

I thought this was a novel idea to "speed" up the process....

Just my 2 cents....

Very clever plan! I also worry about his real colors... Been caught my charm before. Charm that hid his abusive tendencies.
Now to buy a tent....

+1
excellent idea!!

The Camping Trip!

This is brilliant because you generally also get as grotty and smelly as you ever will be whilst camping. Never mind grumpy after waking up in an oven unwashed, hangover, no food, no mirrors, warm drinking water..

You also have to ensure a little bit of hiking is involved in the camping experience to tease out every last ounce of grit :D :D

did something similar with my ex, took her camping/fishing.

I caught the fish, she had to gut and clean it so that i could put it on the braai.

She never came fishing again :)

she volunteered to, wanted the whole "camping/fishing" experience :)

had to != volunteered to

Good on you for clearing that up, we wouldn't want to think that you were actually forcing some poor woman to do something she didn't want to and then bragging about it on an online forum, right?

the forcing was the other way actually, hence the word ex. (long story and not for this thread)

But hey whatever floats her boat, may she be happy with the new douche
