Where are the single men?

So how many messages have you received since this post??

Two. Not that I am expecting to meet someone on this forum though - just wondering if Internet dating is worth it.

To be fair I think it's easier meeting people in person - I just need to make the effort and go out more often.

Is that not the next step in meeting someone online?

Single, divorced, devoted dad.

Ya. I figure most single men in their mid thirties and upwards are divorced. That comes with being late on the scene!

My boyfriends have always been 4 years younger than me. Strangely.

I suppose so!

It does not matter where the venue, every action serves as a communication medium. It is good to touch base with each viable medium to be more experienced on the dating pitch. The cutest way in my opinion to build a relationship with someone is through the ye olde pen pal medium.

To get to know someone you must share bubbles, enter each other’s personal space.

Importantly, no rush!

Unfortunate that you're in KZN. Could have hookup up a friend of mine with you and see how things pan out :p

He's also single and over 30 (31 I think), but that's not really an age gap. I'm 9 years older then my partner and we get along perfectly.

Darn!

So he is younger? I'm assuming you are a she

Don't waste too much time talking to them before meeting in person. You'll learn more from one lunch with them than a week of messaging. Get together for coffee or something, if you like them so far, after a few days of chatting.

Profile:

Eye colour - blue
Natural hair colour - brown
Hair colour now - (dark brown nearly black)
Hair length - long, straightish
Height - Short, just over 5 foot
Skin Tone - white, but tan very easily

Nearest Town- Durban

Work industry - Food

Make-up - wear very little

Shoes - practically live in slops, but will obviously wear heals if going out etc

Handbags - Whatever works.

Sweet or Savoury - Savoury definitely

Bake - no. I can, but no sweet tooth so I don't.

Gardening - Enjoy it, like growing own vegetables etc but not very good at it. I try.

Meat - I eat meat. However I prefer hormone free and organic where possible but not overly fussy.

Animal lover - yes. I love animals and nature.

Humour - Very fun person, always laughing. Trevor Noah is the only South African comedian I find to be good. Otherwise Michael McIntyre takes the cake!

TV Programs - Vikings, Masterchef Australia, Judge Rinder (he is hillarious), Come Dine With Me (UK only - S.A. version is shocking), Crime Channel, Dragon's Den, Shark Tank (a bit cringe worthy but I'm interested in business ideas), The Voice, America's Got Talent.

Movies - Anything with a decent rotten tomato rating

Tattoos - have none. But I don't mind them on other people.

Piercings - only ears.

Pet Peeves - Very laid back but I cannot handle snoring - it just won't work, been there done that and I believe it when they say it's caused divorce! Gaming - obsessive interest in computer games or x-box etc (can't deal with it). Otherwise I'm rather chilled.

Religion - none really. Conversation Topic

Politics - America just annoys me, but I don't let such things wind me up, life's to short to obsess with negative news channels and **** you can't control. But I'll talk politics- no problem.

Debates - I love a good debate, bring it on.

Conversation - I like discovering interesting facts and discussing things like business ideas, new facts regarding health, science, Google and Monsanto's evil ways. Just interesting stuff really!

+1 for being brave and putting yourself out there.

This forum has 100 single males for every single female, so you have a pretty smart strategy by using it

:p

That profile is very much how datingbuzz works (they are dominant in SA and most other sites are just reskins of them using the same database). I'm don't think that type of matching really works, didn't for me when I tried it years ago (that's when I wrote my dating optimiser app, but that's another story).
