Location
Johannesburg
Where do you currently live, and why did you select this neighborhood, town or city? Did work dictate where you live, or did you select a place to live and then found work in that area?

Durban North, Close to work and convenient for shopping as everything is within walking distance

Waterkloof Ridge X2, Pretoria. Lovely location, close to all malls like Menlyn, Brooklyn, Irene Village Mall

Close to N1 and R21

Pretoria East; affordable and convenient from BF family perspective. Miles to work though. I'd probably still choose to stay here rather than in JHB though (work in Fourways).

Riversands, I don't know why, I guess I just like new developments, planning on moving to Centurion next year though.

Devil's Peak Estate/Vredehoek. Love being so close to the CBD but not actually in the CBD. And the views

Cape Town, southern suburbs.

Bought the house to be close to primary school (and because my wife told me to)

Cape Town, due to some maniacs on the forum offering me a job. Plumstead now, as I was previously living in an irrational, messy, emotional warzone. It's very peaceful now.

Northern Suburbs, Cape Town. I have no idea why I moved to where I'm currently living. I just saw the house advertised, liked it and bought it.

Parklands - CPT
Almost everything I need is in the area
- Shops + Services
- MyCiti for when I want to go out for a drink
- Decent restaurants and bars
- Decent houses at not too ridiculous prices
- Decent neighbors
- Decent distance from work

Always heard bad things about the area until I lived in it for a year and realized that the rotten part is only a small percentage of Parklands.

Swellendam, Western Cape .... I bought a large house in Swellendam WC some years ago, and after selling my 3 homes and I 0wned homes in Randburg We moved to Swellendam to live out our remaining days ... it's a small peacefull town, but easily accesable to the east and the coasts.

Paarl, its close to all the good brandy, whisky, beer, wine and these days some gin!
Moved here further away from work actually. Property was a bit cheaper and the area is nice to go home to after work and lots of places to do stuff over weekends.

- Great neighbours
- Close to N1
- Close to kids school

We have been living here for 10years and love it.
