I must agree with the EU folks, my brothers and I all had U.S accounts and we all just purchased brand new EU accounts for a few reasons, on unshaped latency is better on EU servers, (I tested every single U.S server)

Secondly the guys in my guild would raid at 7PM their time, which is 4AM my time, I was level 60 for 6 months and did only one 40 man raid, and I was exhausted the next day.

Rolling on US server Whisperwind with <sorted>. The guild is great and there are always ppl lfg for dungeons. No problem. Not as lonely as some n00b servers.

Tho I have been itching to try out a PvP server - Ashenvale becomes a much darker and scarier place for my little teen toons. :D

Distronium - Tarren Mill EU PVP Server alliance
Lvl 35 mage - first char only started playing in December 2006

PVP is alot of fun always looking over your shoulder in contested areas. Corpse ganking can be a real pain tho, so it is nice on the server where I play cause i have 2 buddies at +/- lvl 68 which can help out when the corpse ganking gets too much.

I dont mind if a horde player takes me out since it is a pvp server after all. I take them out or they take me out and then move on and thats fine. But when they camp then its great to get in a little extra help :)

Still pvp for me adds a whole new dimension to the game. Last night i was in desolace and i came accross a horde rogue player. We were in the same area and buildings doing quests. I waved, he waved and we continued but it was very tense there for awhile cause i was never sure if he was going to go for me:) probably the same for him to :)

Hey there's pros and cons - the fact that I now understand WoW and its inner workings tx to a PvE server gives me the confidence to try out a PvP server. I would recommend starting on PvE - though obviously you didn't to get a feel for the game.

PvP later on adds a new level of (exciting) complexity, never a dull moment, right? Until you have to wait for the flight master to respawn cos he got slaughtered about 2 mins ago while you were hiding in the tallest building you could find :D But thats all part of a more "real" world, I guess.
 
I play on the US server Stormrage (Alliance)

There are a ton of Saffers there, and US servers are cool in that when the big SA guilds raid most Americans are still asleep/at work so the latency is fairly decent. And everyone speaks English too which is good i guess :)

Hi there If , I hope I can like to gooi a stone in the bush.

Guys we all know that UN servers has less Latency then the US and as you can see on the poll , there is more Un players then US?

SO lets think about this like SA'cans , we love to play WoW we love having fun the traditional way and we all from the same Country, so why dont we all start from scratch and form A KICK ASS SA GUILD that will rule WOW and so that peeps start noticeing us and show interest in joining us wich I doubt ( SA only )?????

You know ,imagine we can do like Lan parties all over SA and nice get togethers and ofc Braai's and have fun where we actualy helping Foreign NOOBS to tell us what to to :cool: :cool:

So peeps think about it and lets see if we can get somthing going on this thread and I realy hope we can do it ?

On Twighlight's Hammer (EU) we had one bigass kickass SA guild called Dark Rage. We had a great South African culture with lots of boertjies (and Rooinekke) with funny Afrikaans names. And yes, there was the occasional braai.

But now, sadly, the guild has split into 3 smaller guilds. Magna Carta, Natural Perfection and Ripple Effect. With RE being the only guild to recruit new member at the moment, I think. It would be great if we could get even more SA guys on our server, cause we usually PvP and PvE together.

For anyone who is interessted check out RE's website, we are growing fast !!!
 
There is also a SA horde guild called prophecy on Lightbringer. We still small (+- 60 people) but we're getting there.
 
Playing mostly on Shadowsong Europe.
Started playing during wow Beta while I was still studying in Germany so have quite a number of high level chars
70 mage
65 hunter
62 warrior
and allot more.

Guess I would transfer one of my chars to another PVE server if there is a decent South African guild out there. Or I would probably reroll on a PVP server where I can hook up eventualy with some peeps.
