Where to get a decent russian???

OP, I think Hokaai butchery sells a great Russian.

I found some chili cheese Russians at Spar the other day. Oh. My. God. :love::D

Sputniks were awesome. The SA equivalent of an American corn dog, which is also scarce here in SA.

For a couple of months last year, Woolies had American style corn dogs in the meat aisle. Proper type, in a fried corn batter, on sticks. The sausage inside was uninspiring though. I really wanted to love them.


Anyone remember Captain Dorego's on Church Square Pretoria.
Best Fish and Chips, can't remember having a Russian there though.

It's still there and still quite good for that sort of greasy spoon fare.

Yeah, they weren't the best.

Sausage Saloon sells corn dogs, not too bad.
