Where to get a DS-Lite?

Ok, how come the same site has effectively the same item for such wildly different prices?

BTGames had them for R1400 if I recall. Can't seem to find it on their site now, perhaps send them an email?

BTGames mentioned that the distributorship is currently being decided and no units are coming in for the next few months....

But they did happen to have someone who wants to get rid of his unit, so I think I'm sorted.

Thanks for all the feedback. :)

Tx, I'm not the most patient person around! But will try that if all else fails.

I know the Wii aren't available, but does this extend to all Nintendo products?

/Edit: Will try BTGames, tx!

Yep, unfortunately, nintendo is not in our country ATM, but rumour has it that they will be again, soon, september-ish. All the rumours focus around the wii, so I have no idea how the DS situation might change, one can only imagine that based on the overseas success that they would start supplying them again.

Yeah, I know about the Wii coming. I actually helped one of the companies who bid for the distributorship write their proposal, but the shortlist seems to be between Nu Metro and Ster Kinekor.

I did not realise the other models were also caught up in the same process. The business plans we wrote only focused on the Wii.

Interesting.... Like I said, also only heard about the wii also. I only assumed the winning bidder would bring in all ninty products. mmm... Would be very interesting if it is not done like that. Maybe they think bringing in the DS is a waste, or would just look at it at a later stage.

If they do get distributorship of the Wii as well, surely there could be a valid complaint lodged with the competition commission?

It would seem so, although the console market locally must be relatively small so I wonder how seriously they'd take it?

How can these people possibly think the DS is a waste? Whats wrong with this country?

I'm still on the search for one..
Going the cheap way...Looking in the Cape Ads..Its scarce but sometimes you get it... I found a DS Phat With NFSU2 for R500.... but i didn't have money.. or i did but i had to buy a graphics card (Couldn't let a 6800GS for R700 go)

I dont know but i recently got one of those simply M3 thingies that allow you to d.load roms and put them on a flash card and pop them into your ds.. ahve beeen d/loading games like a mad man... wonderful wonderful thing!!! if you order yourself a DS, get one fo these tooo.. I do however feel a little bad about not giving nintendo the support they need.. ama HUGE fanboy.. but money is money....
