where to get a graphics card...?

hi guys

as you can see im new here.

if got a gigabyte ati radeon x700pro:rolleyes: and i want to upgrade. my bro has a sparkle geforce 6800gs so i want something better then that. he paid R2200 for it. i have max R3000 to spend. so i need the best for my money. i live in PE South Africa(this seems to be a SA website). the places i know of is anstek, computer bits and peaces, penta computers, PE technoligies:eek: (but i dont buy there). so where what and how much...?

ps. a pci-Express card.(i like gigabyte the most)(most of what i have is gigabyte):D
 
Have you tried Light Edge Technologies at William Moffit Park or Sahara?

i dont know about the on-line buying mate. its a bit scary to spend R3000 and something mith go rong....:(

I've spent quite a substantial amount there over a number of years now and no prob. Yes I can drive thru from Pretoria, so I don't have to buy online, but if I have to move to CapeTown (;)) I'll still buy there

i still dont know. i guese i like the idea to buy over the counter.... i mean anything can go rong and then R3000 down the drain...:cool:

nothing wrong with buying online, as long as its a well know place you shoulnt have any problems.
 
Over the counter is 1st choice but, unless you can find it in PE or East London, you have a problem. I know they only bill when they're ready to ship to you, but it's up to you. I can only state my personal experience. BTW, they're currently doing 2 new PCs for me (kids <sigh>) as well as upgrading my own :D

No pressure mate, no commision in it for me either :D Pick up the phone and speak to Justin (for that matter any of the guys there) or fire off an email. They know about these forums too :D
