Where to go from here ???

If you use windows, Download a program called DrTCP

If you follow the instructions correctly and reset ur MTU and send window etc. correctly you can probably shave another 5-10ms off that.
The default windows algorithms dynamically adjust for best average and a single bad day can literally double your latency until your next reinstall. Just keep manually popping it back to current best based on your manual calcs every month or so and you should notice a drastic improvement.

Is the home capped decent for video streaming? At Web Africa. It was kinda ok-ish on the free 1gb web Africa account, buffer here and there

What site were yo ustreaming from?

Netflix and Hulu are 100%.

Web africa is an option - just remember you are really into a 1 month contract if you cancel anything - Afrihost doesn't do that and is by far a much more billing friendlier provider.

If you have ADSL data or line with Web Africa and you cancel because you move to LTE at another provider, you WILL pay for the remainder of the month you cancelled in and the next month even if you don't use the DATA. Completely unfair from a logic viewpoints but legally fair because they warned you when you signed up.

tbh after trying all these various ISP's I have settled on MWEB 6MB standard uncapped, I always use less than 150GB in a rolling 30 days. Netflix works like a bomb.. P2P gets done - not the fastest but I don't sit and watch my torrents. Everything else is great. Price wise is a win too as I am too cheap to go the business route :-)

Can you say the same about the 4meg uncapped? I am also looking at moving from AH and need something to run my netflix etc without a hiccup.

MWEB is good for most things. Just you need to know what your monthly usage will be.

4Meg Premium has a FUP of 400GBs.
4Meg standard is 110GBs I think.

I just want my 100gig that I am used to from AH. I dont want any shaping for 100gigs per month, if its guaranteed then I am sold

to add to that, I dont want any day time limits. it needs to be pure internet for 100gigs.

Then you need a capped account. For the same price as 100GBs from Afrihost you can get 180GBs from Web Africa. Some of it is night time GBs, but well worth it:

I dont like mweb

I know people don't like them because of the surprise FUP limits and no news server, but their bandwidth isn't half bad.

That's my problem, I need to be able to watch TV anytime of the day. I am not going to watch TV at 2am in the morning just to try and save on my gigs. I am actually stating to regret moving from DSTV to Netflix.

True their bandwidth aint that bad actually very solid/stable.

I dont know I just don't like their pricing models for instance who charges R1899 for premium 4mb/s

The mweb limits as posted on MyBB @ http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=105846&d=1394998321

I find there's about a 10gb leeway on the 6MB uncapped. P2P is definitely shaped; but after dealing with WA's home uncapped rubbish and AH's broken network this is a breeze. I mainly use it to watch Netflix in the evenings and it's always fine.

I use the 6MB uncapped (std) on a 4MB line.

FNB connect... Probably not bad, but rather keep your Internet with a company that specialize in Internet

Same reason why you rather host your sites using a pure hosting company they specialize in that.

Woud you really trust/be helped by a bank regarding your IT issues ?
