Where to host?

As the title says, I would like where can I host a simple website?

simple being,

  • PHP enabled
  • MySQL
  • Affordable

hetzners package is R100p/m, but that's a lot of cash for something way tooo much for what I need
 
You can't just pick-up random webhosting provider. That's the worst mistake you will ever make. Do NOT rely on the suggestion of one person specially coming from forums such as this. Some of the people here are actually from webhosting companies promoting their own brand so you really can't get an honest answer. I suggest you read authority sites on webhosting like this one http://www.webhostingsearch.com. You would find opinions from actual people who have experience the services of various companies. The more you are informed the better decision you will make. Read,read, read before you decide.
 
I would stay away from MWEB (see my other post). I will PM you the hosting company's details I moved to.
 
Afrihost R39 per a month package supports 1 SQL database.
Servers are local, and free co.za domain.
 
try server-admins

I've signed up for one of their R18 hosting packages as a test to see what their service is like and I must admit that I'm impressed.
 
I use the baby package on hostgator for $9 a month unlimited hosting. Been very happy with them, and their support is very good.

In the process of transferring our domain from Afrihost. They have a problem with their DNS servers and are not prepared to admit it. I even emailed Gian with proof of the problem and never received a reply, so, it was goodbye Afrihost (though the process is not quite complete yet).
