Oh really:

Sounds very calm to me.

I was having a conversation about people saying "fake news" when boatloads of illegal immigrants were mentioned.

But then the virtue signalers and protectors of all mankind, sprang into action and saw an opportunity.

Laughable and totally clueless.
In the context of actual impact on reality, the implications of "boatloads" of illegal immigrants is in fact fake news.

Yes, they arrive in boats. Technically, yes, boat loads.
In the grand scheme of things, a drop in the ocean - it's a drum being banged by Tory-supporting media to stir up ill feeling ahead of a general election.

I would probably go to one of the SADC countries, excluding Zimbabwe.
Then it would be somewhere in South America.

All true, but irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

Anyway, the UK have much much bigger problems than a few dinghies crossing the channel.

Wouldn't want to live there in any case.

How is it irrelevant to the discussion at hand, when it was asked DIRECTLY whether the "boatloads of immigrants" were not a deterrent to people wanting to immigrate to the UK, and is the question that caused this discussion?

People that vote Europe and UK, do you follow the news and what are your opinions on the boatloads of illegal immigrants that arrive there every hour?

Where was this asked DIRECTLY ??

The comment you quoted merely asks what people's OPINIONS are on the matter.

Then certain people read into that what they WANTED to and then their tampons fell out.

And now I am the hysterical one that needs to calm down....hahahah, jirre.

It's you and the rest that were triggered by that innocuous comment and that took swipes at me.

wooosaaaahhhhhh.....

Too old and scared to emigrate. Maybe I should have a decade or so ago. I have so many family, friends and acquaintances who have moved all over the world. UK, US, Australia, NZ, Canada, Spain, Cyprus, Reunion, Malta and people living in the UAE. Many of them told me the same thing. "It's great, but it doesn't feel like home". Suppose if you stay there long enough, it does start to feel like home. If I had to chose a country, it would probably be Australia or NZ. I understand that it is difficult in most countries where English is not an official language.

Moved to UK with plans to retire elsewhere using what I save and build up here.
It's still far into the future so hard to say where just yet, but some parts of Morocco or Malaysia look attractive

Only hysterical poster here is you mate. You seem to be unable to view posts in any kind of thread-wide context. It's called a conversation.... It has multiple participants.

Yup I’ve given up responding to them.

Argentina.

Because meat.

Went to school in South America. Have forgotten some of the spanish but will pick it up again real quick if I have to speqk it on a daily basis.

Where did I ever say or imply that?

Boatloads of immigrants arrive. That is the only fact that was mentioned and discussed.

I don't want to "talk net immigration" or count people on rubber dinghies...that was YOUR hysterical assumption.

These illegal immigrants must be doing something wrong, if so many people don't want them to move there.

Italy has even bigger problems:

Approx. 150 000 illegal immigrants landed by boat in Italy during 2023...double that of 2022.

Even the UN sees this as a big issue...but hey ho...

If numbers are an issue you should be schitting yourself, little Netherlands had 46,460 asylum seekers arrive in 2022.

Probably per capita and by population density a bigger problem than either the UK or Italy.

UAE? UAE is a dump. The temperature and humidity outside is unbearable.

Malaysia has terrible weather. Hot and humid. As an old fart, it will be hard for you.

Only benefit of Malaysia is Durian fruit.
