would it be best to go for the galaxy s2, or the new Nexus, or wait until around october when the s3 should be launched.

Honestly, I would say yes. Google releases a new Nexus phone at roughly the same time every year. Just put yourself onto the Nexus release cycle and get a new one every two years. Then you'll always have the latest and best that Android has to offer.

I really love my BB and love the physical keyboard. I find it almost impossible to type properly on a screen, almost always hitting the wrong bloody buttons, even on my tablet. I have very large hands

I was a huge BB fan and adored the physical keyboard. I got a Galaxy S2 and hated the keybaord....until I found Go Keyboard and Swiftkey X. Those keyboards have AI to determine your minor mistakes and corrects them. I never thought I would say this, but I can now type faster on my on screen keyboard than I could on my Bold 9000 keyboard.

Being a die hard android fan in the past I would have to say there is nothing better than a iPhone.... It just works, something android lacks

+1 well put. iPhone is the way when budget is there.

Agreed with Swype. It's terrible. I make less typos with my eyes closed on my iPhone.
