To the folk using this or similar products, are you using just normal tap water? Box says to use distilled water or previously boiled water.

I am a lazy impatient bastard, I can't see myself boiling water and waiting for it to cool down. Too much admin

The kettle is usually full of enough pre boiled water for me to use. But you can also boil the water, put it in a stainless glass and put it in the sink/bowl full of cool water to cool down quicker. If its around body temp its safe to use. I prefer slightly warm water to cold so I usually warm cold kettle water for 20s in the microwave.

Its still a pain to do but I feel increasingly worse if I don't do it regularly so there is a punishment associated with it if I don't do it.

I boil and wait for it to cool. Sinus infections will be way more admin

RO water. Snorting our tap water isn't on my to-do list.

I seem to be developing other allergy related issues now that I am past the prime of my life. I am struggling with a perpetual post nasal drip, which I believe was caused by chronically using Drixine earlier in my life (don't do this, ever, kids).

I am also recently getting a seriously scratchy throat after eating roasted nuts (you know - the caramelised type). Therefore I always have allergex on the standby, but I find that the loratadine one works better, even though it it more expensive.

To compound this, I also use a CPAP machine, which even with the humidifier, leaves me either congested or dry in the mornings, but never just lekker. I use a refillable nasal spray bottle with pharmacy grade (plastic bottle with red cap) saline, which I just keep refilling when it gets empty, this seems to work a bit.

Any other preferable OTC products to recommend?

I was prescribed Fexo 180 at one time. Can't remember if you need a doc's prescription for it though.
Don't use anything anymore because it turns out I'm way less allergic than I thought it was.
1x Septoplasty and the world is wonderful again. Turns out broken noses are bad for you, even 15 years later.
 
Apart from Flomist, which nose sprays / medications have cortisone ? If you know, also indicate strength and whether prescription only,

Ryaltris - has antihistamine and Cortisone combination. You need a prescription i believe, and dont have any details on the strength :(
