Which curtains goes with this?

I'm actually thinking of taking the color (choc brown) in that picture, but these couches are also available in black

whatever you like... you're the one who has to live there ;)

What are the colours in the rest of the room?

Depends on the colours in the room you're putting them in. Mostly neutral colours will look best with a brownish couch. Black might make it easier to colour-code the place...

Something like a light brown or cream'e to contrast, also depends on the flooring/carpet/wall colour you have.

ps: As Dj said (beat me to it)

Nothing better out there for that price?

Anyway, if you insist on taking those, buy a neutral colour curtain - shades of champagne or toffee.

I like the couches, theyre comfortable and doesnt start hurting my back like the ones my friend has now. Why? Do you have those and theres something wrong with it?

Its white tile with white(or cream?!?) color walls. the cupboards in the open plan kitchen is a dark wood finish, think mahogany? with like a creamish counter top

The rooms are the same (cupboards) except you have that (what i call) fake wood flooring (i call it fake cause my granparents lived on a farm with real wood floors)

If you guys have anything to suggest re: couches. post some pics/prices. Those I'm getting for R17k. Cant really afford to spend more than that and having sat on them and felt the difference in the different kinds of leather they had available and going to 2 different stores, I figured those were the best. But i dont know my hand from my ass when it comes to furniture...so yea

In that case i would look at something in-between like a lighter brown or toffee color for the curtains as the walls/tiles are already light. You can then contrast with a throw down carpet in white or a light colour for warmth. Anyway its difficult without a picture and I am sure there are qualified interior designers on the forum to help tomorrow, so post a pic. That price seems a bit steep for that set. Only my opinion so take the design/brand name and do some research. Also the black couches black would contrast nice with white/cream walls depending what style suits your liking. Remember you are going to live with it not us.

What about a patterned curtain? Get a sample of the upholstery and take it Curtain Warehouse or similar

This isn't really something most guys would think about...

EDIT: Coricraft stuff is generally ugly and always overpriced.

He's only got R17K to work with ........ oh and speaking of hideous, did you see his initial choice ?

It's a very personal choice, I suppose. That looks to me like it belongs in a museum though. I'm not a fan of faux-antiquity...

True, but in giving him that, we are trying to sort of point him in a different direction away from what he had and give him some ideas to open up the mind a but .... it does not mean he should rock up at Coricraft.

Agreed, I like the original choice more, just I think it could be got for a better price thought.

No guys, he does not have to like my suggestions, but the original choice is just too grandmother-ish ...
