I was thinking of it, but I think what I'll do is dark royal blue curtains with the black couches and then accessorize with something like a lighter shade of blue (cushions or lampshade or whatever)

Your colour scheme sounds too dark to me. Black furniture + dark curtains can make it seem incredibly cave like and even depressing. Unless that is the effect you want.

It also works incredibly well if you only paint one wall - the accent wall - and leave the others white or neutral.

Anyway, if you insist on taking those, buy a neutral colour curtain - shades of champagne or toffee.

The walls is white or cream (I rarely see the difference) and the tiles in the living room is white (or stone, **** knows, too subtle to see a difference, but then again I'm a guy)

I'm renting a place I have option to buy after a year in an area I quite like, so as soon as I've paid off most of the stuff I've bought now I'm going to be buying the place. THEN I'll consider painting

I think the extreme white (IMO) will be nicely offset by the dark royal blue curtains and black couches. The open plan kitchen has dark mahogany finishes for the cupboards, so I guess it *COULD* look like a cave... but it's my cave and nobody can shoot me in it

zomg just found full leather couches with the reclining feature i like that doesnt hurt my butt. it costs 20k more and its in a light brown/greyish color. will post a pic soon. im just gonna start a thread for selling my kidney again quick...

We bought quality leather couches from Barclay Furniture Group. Our couches were assembled on the premises in Cape Town, but I see they also have a store in Pretoria. You can have the cushions refilled for free for the lifetime of the product. Don't mind the colours of the examples on their webpage, you can pick the colour you want!

I'm not sure I would be happy with the leather used in the first picture that you posted. The other nice thing is that we don't have the standard Coricraft designs that everyone buys! Shop around before you make your decision!
