Which curtains goes with this?

This isn't really something most guys would think about...

Why not? I'm a guy .......................... I think.

A black lounge suite with long tufted/loop pile carpet rug?

That is hideous...

my cousin has similar couches and theyre MOER comfortable. i could fall asleep in them and not have to worry about a tweak in my spine. plus when we play xbox i just push out the recliner ;)

Im thinking of just getting the 2 and 3 seater. dont think my place is big enough for all 3. that should make it a lot cheaper

+1
i want to be comfortable. those look like backpain-central

That's worse than blu's suggestion...

This is more my modern sort of style - not sure about the patterns though

Looked at coricraft and grafton's lounge suites but nothing there worth a mention to be honest...

The last post was more a pic to relate size to his situation, I highlighted the point where he spoke about his limited space. The post you refer to was about the contrast between black or brown suits. I cannot recommend anything to buy as it depends what's available in his area.

Six seater unit? Why?

Single laz-y-boy in the colour and fabric of your choice - job done.

Now I'm confused...
my cousins couches are similar to the ones im thinking of buying. not the ones blu mentioned

well im buying so that when i have company over i can and not have to say "sorry, lets do your place"

originally was my idea. one with those built in fridges ;p

ugh. im thinking of getting these in black though, but now a friend of mine said the choc brown looks more homely? wtf

Chocolate brown looks homely? They must feel right at home sitting on the throne if that's the case...:wtf:

Black is better imo. It might be tough for wily_me, but even he might agree...

Black is more modern style imho than brown which is rater more classic, but both will do. Search the net for modern leather suite living room and peek a boo.

What a sad comment, I am trying all evening to get him to change to black, with white additions as it suits a young lad much better and is a more acceptable color used for interior design. ;)

No guys, he does not have to like my suggestions, but the original choice is just too grandmother-ish ...

The two you posted were quite old-man-furniture :p

Everyone has their own taste. If he likes that one, he should get it.

I will add my voice to the others and suggest black instead of brown, though.

The original couches look too sad, with their little frowns on the backrests...

Some thoughts about leather:

  • It's made of animals that suffered when being slaughtered.
  • Poor quality leather will not hold up well over time.
  • If you get couches made of fabric, there is the option to get slipcover couches. The slipcovers can be washed.

Some thoughts about colour:

  • Darker colours may make the room feel cramped.
  • If you have pets that shed fur, get a colour on which the fur does not show easily.

Some thoughts about where to buy:

  • Coricraft has lovely furniture but they are expensive and normally take six weeks to build their couches once ordered.
  • House And Home has reasonably priced good furniture.

  • Cry me a river, cows, pigs and sheep are slaughtered everyday without the so called suffering!

don't you consume meat, fish or poultry?

I've seen animals being slaughtered and haven't seen them skinned alive or having to suffer. But that's just my opinion.

I'm getting pure leather uppers, I've seen what the poorer quality leather can look like after a while an sure as hell won't pay much for them nor consider buying them.

The room is quite "bright" with white/cream walls and white tiles. I'm thinking of dark royal blue (perhaps suede) curtains to go with the black couch and should fit in nicely in the main bedroom which will have black headboard/side-cupboard thingies

Luckily I dont have pets and Im not planning to get any atm.

I'm going to check out House & Home tomorrow :)

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Glad I'm not the only one that liked the black initially, but heard so many opinions from loads of people it got my head spinning.

Now to figure out where to go buy curtains with those metal rings on top cause the apt. has poles for the curtains. ffs, and apparently there is length to consider and stuffs

Just get whatever you want and stop listening to everyone else's opinions on taste ;)

Curtains - Most stuff you can buy off the shelf is just not worth it. The quality is generally lacking, particularly when you consider the price. And if you have non-uniform sized-windows, forget about finding anything. Have them made, rather.
