i'm thinking of getting DSTV, However I'm unsure which package offer what I want. 400+ is too much for all the channels.
I love Sport and want to be able to watch the EPL, All international Soccer (Euro, World cup, African Cup of nations, Champions League) etc. I'm also interested in some of the BBC's shows, like topgear, National Geographic, discover channel and Planet earth.
which Package would be best?
Or is there an option to pick and choose which channels I want?

Just get the full tamarly (Premium) at R469. After 3 months you don't even realise how much it costs. The other options (Compact etc) just plain suck.
The biggest load of bullcrap i have ever seen.
+1. DStv can strip those kuk "african-themed", gospel and foreign language channels from my bouquet and give me discount

DSTV is a *waste of money if you're not into sport. *spell check :D

Then you can watch the drivel on SABC, and a few decent shows on eTV.

For those that pirate and download TV shows/movies ... well then the money for Premium DSTV is what you spend (and more) on bandwidth per month.

I suppose it's what you prioritise. I'm a DSTV subscriber, and will upgrade to HDTV as soon as I can afford the decoder ;)

Sheezuz. This thread title needs to be changed to "The Bastardisation of the English Language"...

Seems some of you need to watch more of the DSTV learning channels...

How about buying the decoder, fridge and microwave...that way you can't afford to get married.

That should work out cheaper.:)
