Which FPS Co-op for slower pc's?

wheres all the quake and unreal T fans!!!! those 2 should work wonders on an old machine!
 
Just bought Unreal Tournament 2004: Editor's Choice Edition from Steam for R128.31.

Was hoping that the blood and gore can be set in UT as openArena dont seem to have that setting and I think my 8 year old might be too young still.

Yeah, being a parent is difficult with all the stuff out there today. You cant hide them away from everything, but you try to shield them from what you can.
 
Often play co-op at home but not all FPS. Myself , me GF and her Bro and sometimes another mate

For good fun try:
Doom3 with Last man standing Mod. You can play thw whole songle player campaign co-op with this mod . Its pretty damm good like that.
Titan Quest is my absolute all time favourite co-op over Lan. Its eventually pipped Diablo 2 off my top spot. seriously check it out. its really really good. Plus diablo 2 is a really solid old co-op game.
Left for dead......but specs may be a problem.
Steam has Alien Storm or Alien Wars? Cant remember which one it is....co-op top down shooter
Then there is also Dungeon Siege 1 and 2
Space Siege ( Dungeon Siege goes Sci fi...lol) - but it has a separate co-op campaign from the main campaign
Star Wars Battlefront is an AWESOME old FPS multiplayer game. Never tried Battlefront 2. Basically a star wars version of battlefield .
The there are the incredibly fun Lego Star Wars/ Indianna Jones / batman series of game etc.
Battlefield 2 has a limited 16 player map version of Lan games where you can all be on one side together.
And then I come to my favourite racing game of all time. Flatout 2 Runs on every computer :) excellent fun, especially the stunt events

Dont just limit yourself to those FPS games, trust me ;)

Hey thanks for all the advise man. Appreciated! I hear what you are saying. I have now downloaded so far: Openarena, UT2K4 and Rainbow Six: Vegas.

I started to look for racing games as well, and came across Trackmania United Forever. What a cool game, and it's free. There is a paid version too, but for now I am sticking to the free version. Hooked it up to lan and having some good fun. My son (11) has taken over my pc with this game!

I will definitely get Flatout2 from Steam. I see it is $9.99. Read that other players also highly recommend it. Another few I want to look at is Toca3, NFS:Most Wanted, Grid and burnout paradise. Are you maybe familiar with any of them?

Must look at Star Wars Battlefront/2 too.

Ah sorry man, my memory is rusty. Here is the steam game, it was called Alien Swarm ( Lol hence my confusion between wars and storm).

Its free but there is an Alien Swarm/Alien Breed package I think. I have seen it floating around at look and Listen, 3 different similar games

Alien Breed you have to pay for though.

Those other racers are all awesome games, but never tried them co-op. i can tell you now that Flatout 2 with friends is a blast though.

Why has no one mentioned Left 4 Dead 2?
