Which guitar

Ok so this is for all the rockstars and guitar heads:

OK well then ill leave thsi question out there for spooner,Tsar and malice

first guitar which of these 3 would you choose and why ?(they all more or less the same price)

1. LTD EC10
2. Peavey Raptor
3. Santa Fe Player

there was one i really liked a washburn but for a bit mroe expensive and i thought it was already bordering on excessive

takign in mind i will be learning through rocksmith and possibly could absolutely hate it :p
 
LTD EC 10 : this one felt the nicest in my hands

Peavey Raptor: cheap but i kinda like the look of this one more barring the white

Santa fey looks almsot identical to the raptor and more or less same price

That looks identical to PRS's Custom series of guitars. Not a bad shape and Cort isn't terrible and there are definitely worse guitars to knock off.

Personally, I don't think you can't really go wrong with ESP (LTD is their more affordable range). They get excellent reviews and they have good, solid build quality. I own a modified AX and it's been good to me for years.

There's nothing wrong with Washburn either but I've never liked them much, for no particular reason. Peavey used to offer alright value-for-money with a few niggles, but I can't speak for what they're like lately.

The best is to find something that's comfortable for you. Don't worry too much about what it sounds like since you can always swap out pickups (Which sort of specializes the guitar. A Bare Knuckle Warpig, which I have on mine, won't be great for jazz but it rocks at metal) if you really need to and most of the sound is down to your choice of pedals and amplifier anyway.
 
yeah someone else also recommended a cort but a different one too that like i said feel wise the LTD felt the nicest to me

@mcd the washburn was my favourite by far but the one i was looking at is R800 - R1000 more so i think ti might be going a bit excessive for something i might not even enjoy

With or without Rocksmith? Thats the reason I asked as I am in doubt whether to take the full package or get Rocksmith and guitar separately. Also which bass guitar will be worth it to add to Rocksmith.

well the rocksmith bundle generally ranges from R2200 - R2500 all those guitars i mentioned are +- R1500 and then the game is R800 with cable(so total = R2300) and you get a better quality guitar

Stick with the LTD. As for bass guitar, look for an entry level Ibanez. try a GSR205 . Maybe start off with one instrument though to see if you like it.

By the way, Rocksmith will help you, but it certaintly wont make you sound amazing on guitar. You should learn some music theory as well. Looking back, I wish I started learning theory from the start.

Also, practice scales as often as possible.

A start is all my son need. I will forever regret that I could not master the basics when I was young, I had no tutor and no books or anything to help so I guessed Rocksmith is better than nothing as a start.
 
Hey guys ok i made a mistake it wasnt the EC 10 it was jsut the EC pack guitar but he will give ti to me for quite a decent deal now my question is this its a single pick up unlike the ec 10 does that make any difference to me starting up ?
