Which guitar

Hey guys ok i made a mistake it wasnt the EC 10 it was jsut the EC pack guitar but he will give ti to me for quite a decent deal now my question is this its a single pick up unlike the ec 10 does that make any difference to me starting up ?

Do you mean this one:

Looks much like the Epiphone Les Paul Junior (comes with Rocksmith guitar pack) which might be a good option as well. The best would be to play both the LTD and Epi and see which you like best.

I would most definitely not go for the other two and the reason: the fixed bridge. I have owned fixed/floating and floyd rose guitars and the fixed, string through guitars are by far the best in terms of tuning stability (in various tunings) and tone.

As for the humbucker in the bridge: unless you are finicky about tone, you would most certainly always play with the bridge pickup only. It has the brightest tone and generally many if not most guitarists favourite pickup to use as it is really versatile.

Remember to have the shop set it up for you when you buy it (intonation, action), else it is going to sound like a dog on NYE. Buy a tuner as well, Rocksmith's tuner is a bit loose :)

What pickup is used on the Rocksmith? What guitar would you specifically recommend for the Rocksmith differently than the Epiphone Les Paul Junior and why also which bass guitar would compliment your choice?

I don't understand your question about the pickup...any pickup?

The Epi Les Paul junior that comes with Rocksmith has only one humbucking pickup, as does the Ltd EC pack guitar, no matter though because you only need one. From the choices provided, considering the OP's budget and that he is looking at these specifically I would recommend the Ltd or the Epi, depending on what sounds and feels best to him, and as I said, because both have fixed bridges. Both these guits are pretty similar in build quality although the Epi might be more famous.

As for basses, my Ibanez ergodyne serves me well, especially with a bass solo: E E E E E E E E, E E E E E E E E
:D

Edit: Differently than the Les Paul: If budget was the aim, The SE series by PRS or Ibanez SZ520 (got one). If budget was not the aim, PRS custom 24, or the Ibanez SZ720.

For Rocksmith I would recommend the Santa Fey mainly for the purpose of it. Never played the game but you have to understand that guitars have different sounds depending on what it's built for. The LTD EC 10 is a metal guitar thus the sound phases around more when you try to tune it via a digital tuner, I can imagine the game works the same. So you need something that remains more stable on a certain chord. I don't know the game, they say any guitar but this is just my opinion. Metal guitars swings on the note.

My guitar as is metal as you can get, complete with custom pickups and internal tinkering. The game works fine with it.

I had a choice between the EC 10 the F 10 and the viper all more or less the same guitar only reason i ended up going with the F -10 is it is way lighter then the other 2 and the guy in store played all 3 and that one to me sounded the sexiest

I actually got it for the wife but I've clocked a few hours. I found it fun and the learning curve challenging. Worth it in my opinion.

I can hit the yellow and red on the first 5 bars pretty decent as soon as it goes further down or uses the other strigns im fscked :D
