Which guitar

Thanks for the info guys. Seems to me I could give my children what I could not get when I was young.

I stumbled on this guys courses. Not the right language (Portuguese) but it seems that it's still very adequate. Anyone care to comment or recommend better.

I can hit the yellow and red on the first 5 bars pretty decent as soon as it goes further down or uses the other strigns im fscked :D

That is a good looking guit InSanity, good choice! Rocksmith has some really nice guitar games that improve your muscle memory moving up and down the fret board and using more strings...check them out they are quite addictive :D

For Rocksmith I would recommend the Santa Fey mainly for the purpose of it. Never played the game but you have to understand that guitars have different sounds depending on what it's built for. The LTD EC 10 is a metal guitar thus the sound phases around more when you try to tune it via a digital tuner, I can imagine the game works the same. So you need something that remains more stable on a certain chord. I don't know the game, they say any guitar but this is just my opinion. Metal guitars swings on the note.

I believe someone recommended to buy a separate tuner, would that solve the problem?

That Santa Fe is an acoustic guitar not. That brings me to the question of selecting between different guitars. Acoustic electric or metal or whatnot. What, when and why?

Will give them a try right now im just playing through the game

$14.99 = R126.37. Just bought this, the Flash Sale ends in a few hours.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/205190/

That's useless without the Real Tone cable, as per
The Rocksmith™ Real Tone Cable is not included with the purchase of Rocksmith™ on Steam and must be purchased separately. Please see your local retailer or many online stores to purchase the Rocksmith™ Real Tone Cable.

Rocksmith™ requires a unique 1/4"-t- USB cable, that is the first of its kind, which allows users to plug any real guitar with a quarter-inch jack directly into their console or PC.

Developed exclusively for Rocksmith™, this revolutionary cable turns the guitar's signal from analog to digital, allowing it to be recognized and played through video game consoles or PC for the first time.

The use of a second Rocksmith™ Real Tone Cable allows for simultaneous split-screen cooperative play while playing Rocksmith™.

Of course it is, but I am planning the get the Rocksmith PS3 version locally and now I already have the PC version via steam. Alternatively I can just get the cable separately and buy a better guitar as suggested in this thread. So a few flies killed with one shot.

In total still much cheaper than the whole package with or without the guitar.

Will consider this, good catch. Thanks man :)

Just remember the Steam deal will be over in a few hours. Also apparently the guitars mentioned in this thread is much better value than the Rocksmith package deal

Muscle-memory will kick in eventually ;) In case you haven't noticed, on the side of your fretboard there are these little dots. They're markers which makes finding frets a lot easier. The two dots = 12 - that's an important one to know for Rocksmith particularly.

Geez just yesterday I wondered what the dots are for.

Is it worth it as I can get the cable of amazon for R260 odd excl and hopefully the guitars suggested in this thread for R1600 odd?

Ok, now R1600. All in all a good start I think.
