Hi

Been reading through the various threads but am no better to what's right. A little advice in what I should get please.

Currently shopping for a used Huawei LTE-A router.

These are my requirements (really basic, I know :) :
- I'm on Cell-C and in a LTE-A coverage area
- Need to have at least 1 LAN port
- Connect about 9 devices wirelessly

These are some of the routers I'm looking at:
Huawei:
B593
B315
B618
B683
E5186

So, this is what I need to know:
1. Are routers network locked? If so,
1.1 What is the suffix code or frequency range I need to look for, for Cell-c?
1.2 Which suffix code is not network locked or not frequency limited, in the event I migrate?

2. Could someone please arrange the above routers in an order of 'best'.

Thanks in advance :)

I'm using the B315 that I got from Afrihost for free using Rain in an area which I supposedly had no coverage.

Getting up to 40Mbps, WiFi range not that great thou, but for the price it does a good job :), the B618 is abit overkill for most probably, dont know about rest. No routers are locked, only the sim that you use might lock specific devices.

The Router is NEVER locked to Telkom only the network sim you put in you can only use. you can't expect to put to put in a Telkom sim and expect it to connect to cell c Same with the HUAWEI Routers. you should get A HUAWEI E5186 because in the future more areas will become LTE Advanced cabable.

i have a HUAWEI B593s-601 which was purchased from telkom Direct and i bought it second hand off gumtree came in box as brand new.
Retails 2 Grand bought it for 650 Rand.
