Hi, we are getting Fibre via Vumatel now. I am choosing between Home-connect and Cybersmart 20/20 or 50/50 uncapped as their prices are the best. Just want some opinions on who to rather go for between them. Good latency to Europe is very important.

Crystal Web or cool ideas.
You get what you pay for.

I wouldn't choose either of the 2 you want to use, based on price. Reviews on them are not very flattering.

Look at Cool Ideas or Crystal Web maybe

+1 for Cool Ideas. No issues with them... what's a cap?

Check this forum to see the issues with HC or Cybersmart...

Early days for me, but I'm very happy with Cool Ideas so far. Latency to Europe is about as good as it's going to get:

Code:
--- <a UK Linode> ping statistics ---
10 packets transmitted, 10 received, 0% packet loss, time 9010ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 168.852/169.277/170.362/0.518 ms

Code:
--- eu.battle.net ping statistics ---
10 packets transmitted, 10 received, 0% packet loss, time 9011ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 176.462/176.800/177.118/0.493 ms

Code:
--- ams-ix.net ping statistics ---
10 packets transmitted, 10 received, 0% packet loss, time 9012ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 171.411/173.429/176.963/2.364 ms

I have had 20/20 Cybersmart account for a short while and it works well so far.
Worst speedtest I did was 6mbps to New York - best is 20mbps to London.. it varies but doesn't bother me.
Ping to EUW LoL is a solid 156ms.

To get it took a while ~2 weeks. At least the lightspeed email support seems to be more responsive than the ADSL department.

We've been happy with Cool Ideas

I''m also very happy with Cool Ideas. By far the best ISP I've ever used.

That sounds awesome, I also play LoL euw and that ping looks very good. How is other stuff like streaming and downloading? Would you mind posting a speed test to Cape town and London? :)

Well let me know if you have any further questions and I can assist, you can use your own router as well for example.

Current set up is - Adsl point to TP link Archer D50 - Gigabit Switch ( connected devices PS3's, Laptops, Pi,etc )connected to GIgabit switch is a TP link 9980 on router mode as an access point upstairs. Would I really need to use your modem here or can I not use my current set up. Both the Archer and the W9980 have WAN ports.

The archer if it has an ethernet wan port can do what is needed. Just needs to be set in DHCP client mode.
