Which Jura coffee machine?

^^this or https://www.takealot.com/delonghi-bean-to-cup-coffee-machine-esam4500/PLID17259111 and just get a few thermal glasses with the money saved over a Jura.

The Jura doesn't have a hot plate? Lol even my cheapo Delonghi has that. Also wash your glasses with hot water from the machine first.

Saeco also does only one thing - making coffee machines. Philips bought them.

Why does it need a hot plate. It's not filter coffee machine. Spit it out!

Yes but their brand hasn’t been that strong for many years now.

Not outside the corporate/enterprise space at least.

Also coffee shouldn’t need to be warmed. Should come out instantly drinkable.

It's an expensive mistake to make. But then he also said he'll be making 10 cups a day so if that is true maybe the shortlisted ones are more... robust.

Just because you aren’t a coffee nerd doesn’t mean you can’t appreciate the good stuff.

Jura is known for making hundreds of cups without blinking.

We have an XS9 at the office. Good machine, great even. Makes a good cuppa, but for the money I'm not sure if it's worth it. Coffee could definitely be hotter, IMO. I usually do a double espresso with steamed milk, which I have to microwave for around 30 seconds on high otherwise it's cold by the time I get to my desk.

Personally I'd get the smaller one, if it's to do the same.

We've had a Jura F9 at home for the past 3 years, so older model. Never had a single issue with making great coffee daily. IMO if you make 10 or more cups per day, Jura all the way.

Thanks guys for advice and info. I really enjoy a good cup of coffee (black no sugar) but by no means am I a coffee fundi. Who plumbs in a 60k professional machine and spends 10 mins grinding beans to make perfect cup. I do have family who do this.

An automatic Jura for brand reputation and support and responses from people who own them was what made me choose them.

I think some people should download the manual of their coffee machines it’s seems most Juras let you select water temp and milk temp and bean strength for your coffee, manuals are easily found on juras website FYI.

Having said that, I bought the XS9, for few reasons:
1- cheaper (great deal on demo)
2- more functions
3- have the counter space to have it comfortably in the kitchen.
4- bigger means less cleaning pucks and refilling water tank (even though I know this gets done daily)

Now for it to be delivered so I can enjoy unfathomable amounts of great coffee. Thanks again for responses.

OP followed through, nice. You won't regret the machine, it's amazing what a good cup (or 5) of coffee can do for you.

Protip: Keep some Nescafe/Jacobs in your kitchen for the times when you wonder "Is this machine coffee really that amazing?" One cup and you'll be right as rain.

Is the coffee not hot enough or is the milk the problem?

I have the Jura E6 and it is reliable, well built and perfect for my needs.

I bought it to replace a cheaper unit (Morphy Richards) when the brew group cracked.

XS9 is a lovely machine, but isnt it oversized for the house?

It takes up less space than a small microwave, and only a little more than your supermarket "3 in 1 coffee makers". It's surprisingly compact for what it does.

Much like Jason, I'd like a Jura - so I too ask those who have Jura, for about 4 -6 cups of coffee (cappuccinos) a day, which machines met your similar needs?

I have a Saeco as well as a SMEG but the SAECO is now at the end. Its failing too often. After some 15 years, I'm happy with its contribution in the home. The SMEG is too much "labour". So I want a Jura - nothing else. The E8 seems to be a good machine. Jura users, do you mind parting with an opinion?

One year later, me and my wife consistently say how buying the Jura is one of the best things we’ve ever done. With each coffee I make it has justified the purchase.

My advice, find a jura in your budget. Then start drink waaaay to many coffees. We are very happy!
