Which Jura coffee machine?

Bro pay me 14k ill come make you coffee every morning for a year

You misunderstand, I enjoy good coffee, without the effort. I drink anywhere from 10-15 americanos per day wife does 5-10 capucinos.

Keywords here is good coffee without the effort. 14k was definately worth the 6litre water well and 70 odd coffee pill bin.

We also do a fair bit of entertaining with friends and family. Besides what I’ve probably saved from buying espresso pods over last two years must be a lot more than what I bought the machine for.

The aero press is awesome, it has replaced my mochapot and coffe bodum when we go camping or to a weekend away.

Jura is hard to fault for home machines, they are always consistent and its a pretty effortless process.
Sure there are cheaper machines available but they dont always last, I know this from first hand experience.

Got a Jura A1 in April from Quaffee in Cape Town. A shade under R10k

Ristretto is fine
Espresso is ok
Coffee is weak and watery

As far as I can tell, using the stronger selection, about 12g of coffee is ground. There is far too much water in the "coffee" selection. I'm using Quaffee Dark Roast. Light roast coffees do not work in this machine at all

If I have visitors, I make two espressos per person. However, after making 5 in a row, the machine shuts down until you empty the grounds bin and empty the water tray

Compared to the (more fiddly) Italian machine I had before, this one is a disappointment.

I asked Jura in Jhb what to do, they referred me to a company in Somerset West who would examine the machine for a fee. Not what I expect after paying a tidy sum for what I thought was a premium product

Try other coffee first just so you can be sure that the beans are not to blame.

Seems like the machine is under 6 months old. Send it back. Not for a fee.
