(my vote also MTN after plenty of travel with MTN SIM in phone and Vodacom SIM in iPad).
 
People have been complaining about ALL of them through the years and since I've only ever used one that I'm ±90% happy with most of the time, that's the one im voting for. :unsure:
 
Definitely MTN, Vodacom has been atrocious since inception at home even after complaining for over 3 years where they done absolutely nothing. To date its still the same as it was in 1994 and speed tests doesn’t go over 5 mbps.

MTN has been nothing but outstanding for me, I get over 450mbps on 5g even when it’s loadshedding.
 
MTN Network, hands down... BUT gods help you, if you require customer support of any sort... -than they are hands down the best hide 'n seek champions ever... from their call centre, to social media, to their corporate head office...
 
During load shedding MTN is useless.

The only network that keeps on working regardless, is Vodacom.

Cell C has announced that it successfully completed its network migration ahead of schedule.

The migration involves switching off all its tower infrastructure and handing over the building and operation of its cellular network to MTN.

MTN will provide Cell C with access to a “virtual radio access network” for its prepaid and mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) subscribers.

Having done exactly no research on this, I feel confident in saying Telkom's is the best. That's because it's what I use and I never have any issues.

If you're on Cell C you're using MTN's network. Pretty much what I've said.

My understanding was some contracts were using Vodacom and others were using MTN, could be wrong. The general joke there was that Cell C is the best network because it's basically not their network, it's another cell phone provider.

This article begs to differ, but if you want to be pedantic go for it. It doesn't really change the nature of the joke. You must be a hoot at parties.
 
During loadshedding the best network is Vodacom because all others are dead. When power is back, MTN, with all its spaming and lack of support overtakes Vodacom and becomes the best in call quality, cheap voice bundles and afrihost mobile data.
