Should give you option to "view and stop" if subscribed to any content services (presume that option is individually - currently I'm not sub'd to any so not checking further) , then "stop all".

Just dialled it via my Voda prepaid SIM and it's functioning.

I will be happy to score each network as I have a SIM with each of them with the exception of Rain. But friends of mine had Rain and they live one house down from where I live.

Telkom.
Good:
Work while load shedding, speed is over 100Mbs up and over 20Mbs down. Is reliable 20 days out of a month.
This is on a post-paid month to month.
Bad:
Uncap is locked at 10Mbs up and down on a contract. 20Mbs is more expensive but you get a maximum speed of 9 in both cases. Telkom has No support, customer support doesn't offer to uncap on pre or post-pay month-to-month contracts.

Vodacom.
Good:
Works while load shedding, speed is between 10Mbs and 25Mbs respectively.
Bad:
Contracts and prepaid data are expensive, with very bad service at their shops, over the phone and online. Very unreasonable Uncap LTE restrictions. Offer no month-to-month on LTE services as far as I know. They cap you at 600 GB regardless. Also, drop your speed to 2Mbs so essentially you never see the 600Gb.

Rain:
Good:
Supposedly contract-free and set speeds. Supposedly no limitations.
Bad:
They don't properly cancel contracts, No service to speak of. You are forced to borrow a router you can't own the device. You are responsible if a router gets stolen or broken via load shedding. Replacement costs can be really high. Offer very slow speeds for your money.

MTN:
Good:
Nothing.
Bad:
Bad prepaid service, Bad contract service, Bad coverage, Network is always down regardless of load shedding. No representation, No online service, They don't respond to complaints at all. They offer uncap month-to-month but your best speed is 2Mbs up and 0.5Mbs down with 300Gb Fair use then they lower your speeds even more. from 10Mbs that you will never see to 5Mbs that you will never see. The router is an extra R400 a month (contract). They say free to use a router but on their own website, they want R399 per month for it. As mentioned they spam you to death.

Cell C:
Good:
Nothing.
Bad.
They simply exist in name only. No towers, no service, and slow to no coverage with an average download speed of 0.4Mbs down and 0.1Mbs up IF the speed test is completed.
 
This is impossible to answer since they all have strenghts and weaknesses. And other factors come into play like brand loyalty, anecdotal experiences etc.
 
Nothing but a disaster on MTN. So I just picked any of the others because nothing can be as useless as MTN.
 
Generally MTN, but their signal where I live (Calitzdorp) is weak and unreliable, so I have had to use the only other local option, which is expensive.
 
There is no option for "none of the above". So no vote from me.
 
All MTN services dies the moment Escom load sheds us. Impossible to run a business using any MTN service. Vodacom is always online and dependable. Thank you for saving my business Vodacom.
