R-rated mini-series on HBO would probably work better than a movie.
 
Lord of the Flies. I think it would make a great movie, but probably make a lot of people angry.
 
Anyone seen Buckaroo Banzai with Peter Weller. Would really benefit from a modern reimagining.

Speaking of Banzai - The Karate Kid without Will Smiths son.
