Hi all
Tired of SEACOM and its CRAP!!!!:mad: and MWEB's pathetic excuses.

Can you recommend an ISP that:

* Will give me uncapped ADSL at 4096kbps for a similar price to MWEB
* Won't cut me off or give me hassles when I need to download 60-80 Gbytes in a month
* Won't interfere and block ports such as 2345, 6881, 6969 etc..
* Does not get all its bandwidth from that useless piece of crap undersea cable called SEACOM

Axxess looks good, but I get mixed reports which adds to my uncertainty.

/me opens a bag of popcorn and waits for openweb fanboys

Openweb is actually not bad at all :D

Before, I would have said Axxess, but unfortunitely they do not have a massive client base, so when they say they don't shape until you are in the top 50%, well, 50% of users isn't really that big of a number.

Soo... I would recommend afrihost any day. They don't use the seacom cable at all and their customer support is flipping amazing! Also, if you bundle up, you can probably get a 6/8mbps connection for the same price that mweb would have offered 4meg at. However, be warned, that signing up for a bundle means transferring your line over to Afrihost and not paying Telkom for your ADSL line.

However, that being said, It's the best move I've made as now I don't need to deal with Telkom Anymore!

EDIT: One last thing, they only shape torrents if you are an extremely heavy downloader (and its only temporary and you can view the shaped %age in the control panel), and never shape streaming services or browsing. Also, they don't block any ports.

Just my thought for the day

Cheers
