Which one should I use (Ubiquiti)

I have a Telkom VDSL Modem (Netgear VEVG2660) the wifi on this thing is pretty bad.

So I want to dumb this router down to act only as a modem then run 1 lan cable from it to my main PC/SERVER then 1 lan cable to a WiFi Only Router.

I want to know what the difference is for each and what the use case would be for each.

What I would really have liked is a VDSL Unifi router, I do not like having to have a modem and a wifi setup.

How much money do you have to spend. The best is the UAC-AC-PRO, second the UAC-AC-LR, and if money is tight, the AC Lite model will do nicely.

I install all of them for clients, and they are all good, the Lite Model will do fine for a home or small office, but if you want 10MBps TCP/IP throughput or more, the LR or Pro will be better.

Lastly, VDSL is dead. Secondly, Unifi is a Access Point. They don't cater for the home marker, hence no AIO device. Keep routing and access separate - best performance.

One would have thought, that "Enterprise" means better than "Pro"

Thanks so much for the guidance I will see what the bank says and go for the "Pro" as I want the best possible experience.

It was never alive, I am just glad I am one of the 0.5% of South African that have fiber like speed for a fraction of the cost.

I use 2 LR AC and 4 AC lites at my place and using the cloudkey as the controller. USG as my router

I am going with this one below, however that Mikrotik is in a while different class especially wiFi.

Would be nice to compare it now with this ubiquity that I want to get.

I'd drytek wasn't so ridiculous expensive I would have wanted to give them a go too.

I can't compare a RB2011 with WiFi with my UniFi, but the UniFi is really easier to set up. Also keep in mind that those speeds stated is in a perfect working environment, and you might not even see such speeds.

I am sure those speeds are marketing. However it should be a lot better than my telkom router and tenda repeater
 
I have the unifi AC lite and its great. I also have 9 of the older N enterprise ones in my office and they are fantastic.

I don't like calling and running after companies for quotes, Scoop is out in the open so I know immediately what the price is.

Agree with this.

Got a 951i with the 1W antenna. Mikrotiks wifi falls apart when you aren't close by and limited to 2.4Ghz with mine (meh). Get an Mikrotik (maybe 951g) for routing, firewall and VPN. Unifi AP will give you enough coverage and can handle a lot of clients if ever needed.

Your bunker doesn't have a phone line?
