I have Cyber Sleuth Supreme.
Works, but the website etc to track sucks. Also, there is no phone app to see where you car is - as far as I know anyway.
Cost is about R170/month, and then I get a discount on my insurance as well.

Steal a car covered by each one and see who catches you first? Trying a product before buying is always best

Cyber Sleuth and Skytrak are very similar and both pretty good. We had our company cars on both (Netstar and Tracker) and there is little between the two.

As far as cutting through red tape, however, go the Netstar route. Tracker is a nightmare of red tape from my point of view.

Has anybody used Tracetec before? They seem to be cheap and the unit/chip/thingy relatively maintenance free. Anybody?

Try Discovery Insure. They have their own tracking system (DQ-Track), and it is not subject to a contract like the 2-3 year contracts with the other suppliers. Their prices (insurance + tracking unit) are among the lowest you will find in the industry. Plus you get savings on fuel purchased from BP, and thier other benefits as well. If you're already a Discovery Health and Vitality member, then it's almost a no brainer. The amount of rewards you will get from insuring with them is unmatched, and makes insuring with them the cheapest.

They also allow anyone to drive your vehicle. Your excess does not go up if their is an accident when the car was being driven by someone other than the designated driver. Also, if I am not mistaken, you get free vehicle hire in the case of an accident, while your own vehicle is being fixed.

Thanks, will look into Netstar Early Warning

Unknown product to me. Will pass it onto the boss :)

You can try C-Track, last time I researched - their product seemed superior.

I installed a Tracetec in my car couple of weeks ago.
The installation took less than 5 minutes and they also dont tie you into a contract.

I have Matrix in my car. I guess I'll be able to tell you how good they are right after my car gets stolen...

The Discovery DQ Track is done by C-Track
