Which part is most necessary for all-round performance?

Just try something like CCleaner and see what's cluttering it up. Probably just a software issue or time for a cleanup. Sometimes an SSD won't fix that.

2nded... found out the other day that my sister had a couple of gigs of browsing history and all the rest of it when CC'd her account...

let me clarify running like crud :P Its not lagging at all - I'm running Win 7 32-bit and it runs windows fine.

I'm just get very disappointing frame rates in most of my games - I.e. I can't get constant FPS in TF2, and I can't get 240 constant in CoD4 - both with FPS configs. In all of my games my FPS is also fluctuating quite a lot, from what I can see;.

I've been told that how high your FPS goes depends on the graphics card, and whether it stays constant or not is dependent on the CPU?

Using 2 x 1.5TB Samsung Spinpoint Hard Drives. Thinking about reverting to XP as well, because my games get way higher FPS in XP, even if its 32-bit compared to win 64-bit (I tried an install of this and didn't notice any great achievement).

Shawt!

am i the only one feeling Vitrolic's bragging 'cause im getting really jealous -_-
