I have a 32gb iPhone 3gs at the moment, however I can upgrade at the moment and was looking at the htc desire or htc HD 2.
or is there anything else better on the market that I have missed but is available here now?

Thanx for the help

Go with the desire. The Incredible is a better phone but it's not out yet here. And the Evo 4G will be awesome.

Agreed, Desire or wait for iPhone 4G. I have an HD2 and am not enjoying WM6.5 at all. Gone back to using 3GS as default hand set...

The arrival of the iphone 4 is imminent. I wouldn't touch a Windows phone before Windows Mobile 7 comes out - if ever.

You'll be able to upgrade to Apple OS 4.0 for $10 soon. Resist the upgrade urge and save on your monthly.

Thanx for the quick reply, when will those 2 other phones Incredible and Evo be released here, maybe i should just wait?

im on MTN so will MTN have the iphone 4 as well, because only vodacom had n3gs, so im just wondering?

I would say the Desire is the best phone out in SA at the moment. I'm waiting for either the iPhone 4 or something very similar to the HTC Evo :D

I heard the nokia e72 is quite good ? Anyone that can confirm this ?

The iphone 4G will most probably only be in SA in September 2010 or Feb 2010 depending on Apple's roll-out plan...so I would say if you can HOLD OUT until then, YOU will NOT be DISAPPOINTED:) I can't comment on HTC as I have not used them yet, but the Snapdragon processor is pretty awesome:)

I'm also pretty impressed with Samsung's Super Amoled screen tech, so consider the Galaxy S if you are inclined that way. Perfect outdoors visibility with Amoled colour reproduction and viewing angles... that's got to be worth something.

HTC Desire.

The super OLED seems nice, when you outside a lot (or on your phone outside at least). But the Desire is not bad at all on that aspect so it would not be a deal breaker for me.

If you're up for it, get a Nexus One from the US. The updates roll out fast (I'm already on Android 2.2) and I don't think there'll be a phone that can compete with the pace of development.

Either way, I'd definitely go with an Android phone. If you watched the day2 Google I/O keynote about Android how fast it's developing and leaving the competition behind

sounds great will definately check it out.
Thx for the heads up

Why get a Nexus One when you can get an HTC Desire here? You can still root it and flash vanilla android 2.2 on it or just wait a while and get the HTC Android 2.2. You can get the desire on contract and cashflow wise is a bit better than shelling out for a nexus one.
