Lumia 920 VS Xperia T

http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4967&idPhone2=4899

So I currently have a Desire HD. Have friends with Xperia S and the phone looks beautiful love.

The 920 though is new and looks really decent. I know it's windows phone, but I wouldn't be able to call myself a tech head by being by new tech can I?

Things that concern me are lack of Apps on the Windows market place.

Shatter proof and scratch-resistant glass (Xperia T), from prior knowledge, this just means a screen with a factory fitted screen protector. Not as good as gorilla glass at all!
Plus Sony's upgrade history is not that great.

But i would go for a different android phone instead of WP8.

Lack of apps on WP is a big no no for me.

On a side note: if I have a Windows8 RT or PRO tablet, can I buy an app once for all devices like with Android?

Just got back from vodaworld just to test the phones out and the 920 seems big and heavy. The OS seems even for for babies than iOS.

Looks like I'll be getting the Xperia T.

Seriously reconsider getting a Sony :-/.

Like I said. I have friends with the Xperia S and it's an awesome phone.

The T looks the part more than any other phone right now. S3 is way too feminine.

Love my Xperia S :)

Also nice to not be one of the sheep and still have awesomeness in my pocket.

If by awesome phone you mean outdated? Then yes you are right.
There is a reason Samsung is the number 1 selling phone brand...

By that logic Justin Bieber and Twilight must also be awesome :D

People are sheep.

That's also a factor actually :)

Some of my reasons for going with it are as follows:

Pretty
12mp Camera
Bravia engine
Awesome display
HDMI Port

To mention a few.

You are catching on. :).
People are sheep is just your way of trying to rationalise buying old hardware :D. I guess you also love AMD PC's and you don't use iPods? :D

Its an old design, old phone and it was outdated before it was released.

I have nothing wrong with the Xperia S :p. It was a great phone when it was released. The problem is the Xperia T is , at best, a very minor update for a lot more money.

Minor update? The Krait processors are a huge improvement over the Scorpions, and way more effiecient and powerful than the S3's quad cores.

Here is a list of other improvements that I would not classify as minor (well maybe some)

Thinner
Lighter
Bigger screen
MicroSD slot
HSDPA 42.2 Mbps
Will get Jelly Bean much sooner
Better GPU
Better Camera
Bigger battery

I think this is well worth the odd R700 difference.

Pfft. Minor.

Get a GS3 LTE.

2GB RAM
Android4.1 JB out-the-box
LTE
Better Camera
Larger Screen
Fast Updates
A HUGE Mod community
Powerful GPU
Support for DivX, Xvid, Avi, FLAC etc... video and audio out-the-box
Lastly, Samsung's RIDICULOUSLY smooth and fast UI, outside the Nexus line the fastest and most fluid UI is Samsung's, they have kept it sleek, silky smooth, simple and consistantly fast, not to mention great productivity apps like S Memo.

Also look at Galaxy Note2 if you dont want to be a "sheep".

Oh please. Each one of those items you listed got only a tiny bit better.
Better GPU?
Compared to Adreno 220, 225 primarily adds support for Direct3D 9_3 (which includes features like multiple render targets).
Better Camera? We all know 1mp is not going to make the slightest difference.
The only thing you listed which would actually be a game changer for me is the Micro SD slot.

And, i will give you my left testicle if it gets Jelly bean within 6 months. ;)
