Hi

I wanted to find out from you guys about VOIP services.

I have a Fnb account and got a VOIP number from them but is it worth it or should I use switch telecom which is R50 per number?

Thanks

Depends on what you want to do. You just want something to replace your landline at home or do you have a business need?

For general home/single line use there is quite a bit of discussion here.

I tried both, only switchtel could port my number. Quality is well worth the R50.

I am with Euphoria since recently, first time I do this, and I am happy. Pleasant experience. Also used by Steyn City. That sealed the deal together with their philosophy on customer service, not locking you in and so on, and maybe best of all their easy to use interface with so many self-help videos. Thus far I am more than a customer I am an advocate.

Try voip.bluecloudpbx.com
Registration is free. Choose a sip account. They offer a few rands free airtime for testing.

What app can I use on my Note for my Switchtel VoIP account? I am using Zoiper but I get a lot of errors about DNS unable to resolve and have to reboot my phone for it to connect.

You can give Bria a go.
