Antec VP Series 700W PSU = R1 109

Raidmax Hybrid 730w Modular PSU(730SS) = R1099

Current pc specs
AMD 8350 FX
Amd R9 380 4g gfx card
2 tb drive
16 gig ram

edit. I am replacing a Raidmax Hybrid 530w Modular PSU(530SS) that blew on monday(it was about 3 years old). Hoping it did not fry the GFX or anything else.

I borrowed a 450w from a friend. The mobo started as well as the cpu fan but the GFX stayed dead. Some say it the GFX card wont start up with that psu.

i have the superflower. Its great

I wouldn't buy another Raidmax if the previous one only lasted 3 years.

Something like this is a good deal: https://www.wootware.co.za/super-fl...ified-fully-modular-desktop-power-supply.html

+1. I too have the Super Flower 550W Leadex Silver and have no complaints.

I mainly buy according to PSU tiers, as having a 1000W PSU isn't guaranteed to make it a good unit the same way as a low-wattage unit isn't always crappy at running it's rated wattage.

The Super Flower mentioned above is a Tier 2 PSU, which means it uses high quality components and is a lot kinder to your components (ripple, surges, accurate voltages, etc.) in the long run. See here for some more info: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/631048-psu-tier-list-updated/

That Super Flower PSU is extremely reasonable.
