Which puffer jacket?

Well my Billabong puffer was made in China but licensed the brand to a local company...not good quality, the materials and the stitching...I imagine your qs puffer was an "import"
I had a look now and it was made in Indonesia.

Stick to synthetic if you want it to be packable. Down puffers, regardless of the quality, will inevitably end up with the feathers poking out. More so if you constantly need to fold and pack it.

Is it good? I have no idea.

guessing you have never been to bellville and most flea markets

i bought a soft shell north face jacket about 3 years ago for R300 from bellville somaliaville - only fake item i ever bought from there for me

i struggle to find my size ..XL at fake places

the jacket is "Fake" but so good quality

buddies of mine have "kway" from belville also around R350 and so good quality
I have never been able to understand this. Why would you willingly go and buy a fake “branded” item from a street vendor?

I don’t care if people buy ubranded or non name brand stuff from these stalls, but I cannot fathom why you would go and buy something you legitimately know is a fake branded product.

If someone has R300 to spend and they arrive at a stall and they've got a North Face knockoff for R300....who cares about the label on the jacket? If it's unbranded or has North Face - it's just a jacket. If anything the person on a jacket budget probably does want something that looks nice.

Lots of places sell decent quality "unbranded" jackets that would suit this theoretical person's budget as well. Buying counterfiet products, especially if you know its counterfiet, is simply theft, no matter how you skin the cat. Its also tacky, because you arent fooling anyone - you know its fake, and everyone else that sees you in it knows its fake.

No one is going to judge you for wearing a decet looking unbranded jacket, but they are going to judge you for wearing a counterfiet.

its the look

its the look
How is wearing a known fake anything to do with “the look”. You aren’t fooling yourself or anyone else, you just look silly.

Where the same money could buy a similar or even better quality no name brand and no one would take notice

Nobody gives two shifts what other people wear. Your point applies to fake clothes as well: Nobody is going to take notice. If you honestly walk around with the mental energy to notice fake clothes and judge people to look silly you probably need to attend to the log in your own eye first.

i dont know how he thinks fake stuff makes you look silly , it only makes you look silly if you wearing like LV or gucci yet you earn a small pay cheque a month

bit then again its your money and you do what you want to do

Well, each to their own, I guess. But it's normally pretty easy to spot the fakes, especially the K-Way puffers - since they tend to have gigantic K-Way logos that none of the real stuff has.

There is also the self-respect side of the equation. Theft is theft no matter how you dress it up. Knowingly buying counterfeit products is no different to stealing. If you buy fake clothing knowing its fake, you are not allowed to judge any other person who steals.

Since when did K-way become a desirable item to own? TNF is the only way, or if going local First Ascent

not all kway jackets have the gigantic logos

same goes for nikes adidas and all other brands

its hard to spot a fake

your moral ground is a different story cos if you believe people making your branded clothing work in the best of environments ..... thats another story for another day
