Which Realm should you choose?

I'm going to start rolling on hunter bows...just to piss them off for rolling on my items that have expertise...or ninja'ing my daggers just for the stats. I honestly don't get it. Hunters can use ANY weapon. Mutilate rogues ONLY use daggers, but they still out roll me.


As for your duel ... you'll no doubt p00n me 6-love, but it'll be fun, I'm sure.

This is why we stick to armor class gets first choice. The hunter will eventaully replace the leather with mail. The rogue could spend the rest of the current expansion in the same gear.
 
If there is one race / class I absolutely hated in the BG's / general PvP, it is a gnome rogue with pink hair and sporting those twin ponies. That is until I rolled one and all I can say is WHAT FUN!

Set up macros to emote giggles, cackles, train and cheer and then enter a BG and have the time of your life (this is at lower levels mind you).

3 years of pure revenge. I'll get the drop on a hordie and just sap them, giggle, cheer and /train and run off.
 
Is there a class that specifically gets boring end game? I played a druid to 72, but got bored not having a specific role. Leveling it was awesome fun, when it came to dungeons it wasn't too great.

Kinda why i stopped playing my mage. Most fights boiled down to 2 buttons + moving out of the fire. It could probably be more fun if I'd pushed harder, but I think I just prefer playing a hybrid.

Hunters are after the same off-set pieces as well. Rings, cloaks and even weapons as they want the agility, attack power and armor penetration.

However - never let the hunter take one of those pieces if it has expertise as this is of no use to them.
 
Take a piece of an advice from me, play a class that has an offspec! Being a pure dps class sucks, you don't get off spec loot and you can pretty much only try one aspect of the game.

I have 4 level 80's Mage (main), Paladin (main alt), Priest and Warrior. To me a shadow priest is the most boring dps ever, ret pala comes a close 2nd. A paladin tank is a great way to level and learn to tank (it is the easiest). A warrior is decent for dps with arms being a bit hard to be really pro at it. @skurm all classes eventually come down to like 3 main nukes or so.

I have many lowbies chars as well, all classes in total except a shaman. In terms of fun, DPS: Hunter, mage, warlock
Tank: Warrior, paladin, druid, haven't tanked with dk
Healer: only healed on a priest but i think shamans/druids would be cool.

High population servers suck, i can't fathom why anyone would want to wait 30mins before they can even log in to the server. Go for a medium server, its a good middle ground. I am on Ahn'Qiraj and can basically do any of the things mentioned, we even have pugs that do icc 25.
 
Well, Karazhan on horde side had ToC 10/25 pugs, I don't know about now since I am playing alliance on Sylvanas, but that was and is still a low pop realm....

Pure dps has it's advantages. Gearing up can be quicker especially in raids, since you never have to fill another role. Working on both my dk's tank and dps sets took much longer than it took to get my mage geared. You should also be able to do somewhat more dps as a pure dps class, although that gap is pretty narrow these days I'll admit.
Plus, I think some of the pure dps classes have some of the most powerful and amazing abilities. Rogues and mages, particularly, have some really amazing abilities to make life easier for themselves (iceblock, cloak of shadows, blink etc)

You should try a DK. Optimal dps for me consists of keeping 3 dots up and using 3 other nukes that change depending on what resources i have available. Compared to pressing my 2 button mage? Hahaha. No.
