Which Restaurant

I am kinda stuck at choice.

Friends of mine (a couple) has recently helped me out a stack, like only best friends can, and as a token of my appreciation, I would like to take them out to a fancy restaurant.

Problem is I cant seem to find any nice place (rather read I have never been to anything else than Mike's Kitchen and Spur).

Can you guys suggest something in the Johannesburg area that you have previously enjoyed and that doesnt break the bank?

So far I have come up with Macedonia in Bedfordview, which seems nice.

If he likes meat, The Grillhouse in Rosebank is one of the best. Have the fillet on the bone.

Or Wombles Steak House in Parktown North. Pricey, but worth every cent

Im pretty sure The Meat Co closed down years ago, its a Nandos and iStore now... Unless they moved.

I went to Magiare this weekend, its in Melrose Arch, Awesome place, didnt eat any meat though, very upmarket, nice atmosphere.
