Im pretty sure The Meat Co closed down years ago, its a Nandos and iStore now... Unless they moved.

I went to Magiare this weekend, its in Melrose Arch, Awesome place, didnt eat any meat though, very upmarket, nice atmosphere.

Rip off deluxe... has had really bad press. Only wants to rip off foreigners not interested in South Africans (especially kugels)

I was there probably 7yrs ago. It was expensive but I thought it was a good piece of meat. Things obviously changed.

Jimmy's Killer Prawns (monday is eat as much prawns as you like), Ocean basket (Their sushi and tasty calamari & sauce!)

otherwise go to a cassino like monte and go for a buffet restaurant, like that tuscan place?

whatever you do, just don't go to that "Cleopatra's" / "river of the nile" buffet restaurant in Emperors palace - that place has gone DOWN! calamari was rock hard, only 3 different "snack starter" selections (unless you count the fruits/etc) - usually they had samoosa's, 3 kinds of sausages, little pies, etc,etc,etc now they only have 3 choices, of which one was freaken eggplant

Tuscan BBQ +100. That place is amazing.

meat co sucks

I can't believe people recommend any Meat co over Cattle baron? Meat company are over priced and serve you a piece of steak with a small portion of chips and tons of attitude, whereas Cattle baron steaks melt like butter, taste like heaven and you get unlimited sides including veg, chips etc

and that awful Butcher shop at the square, sheez I have seen the owner have screaming matches with clients - the dude is so uncouth and lousy food.

Anyhow awesome steaks definitely Cattle baron then best prawn deal is the kings at Adega for R129 a head and currys probably Ghalez as well priced, tasty and new so place looks good.
Ribs hands down is Thundergun, though the place is looking a bit run down, but their ribs are just fantastic

Anyhow send feedback on how Macedonia was, havent tried them, looks interesting
And Mythos..maybe I need to go Greek for a while? The pics of the place look good, anyone know the food?

Reminds me of a friend who went to Greece sat down somewher and ordered steak and the waiter asks him in Greek and semi broken English how much steak he wants, so he goes erm like 1, so they bring him this humongous 1kg steak.
