Which smartphone apps do you use the most?

I was in Boston a couple of months ago and bicycle directions are supported there. I think it's just by region.

In Boston there's explicit bike lanes, and when the bikes share space with cars, all parties actually tend to follow the rules, so cycling is quite safe.

Here in ZA, it's kind of "at your own risk" and Google might not want to accept liability for that. For cycling, I typically use walking directions, they mostly work.

Probably is region specific. I guess not too many of us in GP commute those kind of distances or through that traffic on a bicycle.

These are apps I open every single day:

The usual:
Telegram
Chrome
Gmail
Google Play music

The not so usual
Myfitnesspal (kilojoule counting)
Bring (synchronised shopping list)
Pocket Casts (podcasts)
Simply Auto (fuel usage tracking)
Feelfit (bluetooth scale)
Google Home/eWeLink (wifi light switches)
AppKettle (wifi kettle)
Pocket (recipes)
NordVPN
OvuView (menstrual cycle tracker for my wife)

Whatsapp (messaging)
Gmail (email)
Chrome (browser)
Twitter
FNB
Instagram

Too often Google has that option including going through parks and using footpaths that I'm not riding my roadbike on.

Also true. I tend to just work around those though.

Bicycle directions don't work in WC (Cape Town) either. I don't know whether Google Maps has finer granularity than per-country?
