Vodacom,MTN,Cellc or other for a smart phone contract? Which is yours and who would you recommend?

Thanks

Vodacom! MTN are flipping useless, I've signed a contract with them, had my phone for three days and I'm already regretting it. Check my rant thread. I have 4 other contracts with vodacom and I've never had a problem with any of them.

I have to lean towards MTN (i have contracts with both MTN and Vodacom) and on MTN you get better phones with a lilte extra payment(on the 200) and at no extra cost on the 350 contract, and i had the exact oposit service as mental-tree when geting my contracts, repairs etc.

There call centre on the other hand i have had problems with
on Vodacom i notived the phones have quite a bit of pay in unless you on the weekender or higer (wchih i dont like as the minutes can only be used after hous)

I have contracts with both MTN & Vodacom and they're both ok.

MTN's billing is just a nightmare to try and understand, while Vodacom's billing is very easy.

Vodacom's service is better IMHO, while MTN's phones are definitely cheaper than Vodacom.

Confused? So am I. :D

Agree with Kingrob: vodacom's service seems better than MTN's. MTN's phone offerings seem better than VC's. No experience of CellC or VirginMobile though. Looked at Telkom's 8ta perhaps?

Be carefull. It might seem like it...but u must remember meneer, the packages from the two networks are rather different. Also, what happens a lot of the time, MTN loads a extra amount on the contract to pay for the phone, so where as the package would normally be R300.00 per month, if you take the phone that your heart desires, the monthly charge is R450.00 and then they slap the world free onto the deal...then that is all the clients see and cream their pants!

Also, with the new MTN packages, the tarrifs that MTN are using is extremely hard to swallow.

Lets take the AnyTime 500 (MTN) and Talk 500 (Vodacom) for example.

Subs on MTN Anytime 500 subs = R500.00
Subs on Voda Talk 500 = R800

AnyTime 500 call rate national anytime = R2.35

Talk 500 = On net - R1.39
Off net - R1.54

Also, if you work out the inbundle rate for your minutes then it looks as follows

Talk 500 = R1.60 per minute
Anytime 500 = R1.95

So it all just depends how you look at it.
