Which Tablet should I choose

Yup got the Flytouch3, Totally worth it. Froyo, 3G via usb, hdmi out, love it. All for <$200. Bought it to keep me busy until i bought a "proper" tablet, but cant see any reason for buying a name brand atm.
 
The Xoom just shot up a couple of points in my book. They got Android 3.1 yesterday :(

I dont even have my tablet yet and already its out dated.
 
I am looking at getting a cheapy when I go to Thailand next week.
 
There's also the Zenithink ZT-181. Not great specs, but at around R1500 it's great for some reading or Angry birds.
Not to mention it runs Android.
 
the galaxy 10.1 still seems much more of a good made and worth while device to have!!!

how come we not getting any good deals on those!!!????
 
Samsung dropped their prices on the Galaxy last week. We have them retailing for R5400.00 (from R7600).

Edit: I am referring to the 7" unit. No news on the 10.1" yet.

Unlike in the phone market, the Android tablets don't have clear advantages over the iPad. None of those have a USB slot. The XOOM also gets bad reviews - the software is unstable, the SD slot doesn't work. Adobe Flash doesn't work. There are only a handful of honeycomb apps... the list goes on and on.

True but things are changing with the launch if Android 3.1 which is now available for the Xoom. Flash works perfectly (I have tested on mine without any problems with 3.0) and although the Market is limited at the moment it's only a matter of time before apps rival those on offer currently by Apple. The Xoom has a USB slot as well as SD card reader and although not yet operational it's clear that Motorola has though ahead as these will more that likely be enabled in later versions of Android.

As far as internet browsing and multi-tasking goes the Xoom is a clear leader over iPad II. To claim that Android has no clear advantage over Apple is a little one-sided IMO. Apple has some very strong points (build quality and GIU) but then so does Android as mentioned.

Wow December just woke up and decided to post.....

USB slots work, with new 3.1 you can even plug in a Xbox game controller and play games with it
Flash been working
SD card slot is working
There is a handful of dedicated Honeycomb only apps yes, but Android API makes it that the same app works for phone and tablet, the display just change depending on the resolution. This change depends on the developer, it can be a simple zoom that allows you to see more or even add extra panels when there is space for them.
 
The eee pad is a winner, but only has full size usb ports on the keyboard extension :(

Is there any reason why you can't plug in a usb drive into the micro usb port via an adapter?

Dude seriously, I cant figure out if your trolling or an iPad owner with buyers remorse?

You look right past the faster browser with flash support on a OLD os to point out what it didn't have back then? Not to even mention that We have access to Opera and Firefox as well as the included browser even with the option to make any 3rd party browser the default when selecting links.
