I would like to try linux. Which Virtual Machine should I use? I heard that you can use a VM to install Linux.

Why not just install Ubuntu inside Windows with the LiveCD's Wubi?

Nothing better than Virtualbox, and its even open source so you can use it free. Virtualbox OSE that is 
you assume it is only ubuntu he wants to install.

Was just a suggestion. That is how I started with Linux (Ubuntu)
