Whisk(e)y Lovers thread(II)

And talking about travel exclusives, my son brought home a bottle of Talisker Surge which will also get opened over the weekend.

Expensive for a NAS whisky, but reviews seem to be favourable.
Also looked at that Talisker but gave it a pass as is a bit of the pricey side. Interested to know how it is

Well done! Stock is obviosuly not an issue. It did take forever to arrive in SA...that I know. I'm 99% sure that you will LOVE it.
It is apparently moving quite fast but suppose there was a decent amount.

Haven't tried a Glen Scotia yet that I havent enjoyed

Did the taster have any experience?
Was actually selected by the community following Ralfy and Roy's OSWAs. Plenty were surprised . Still it's probably due to Campbeltown hype. I think deanston 18 is a better buy.

Found these in a kist that belonged to my mother. I reckon they're about 40 years old. Should I go ahead and try them? :) Otherwise, just keep for sentimental value, or as paint stripper when doing some diy :P
