I'm heading down to CT for 2 weeks - with all the talk here about Bains/3 Ships, I was thinking about visiting the distillery for one of their tours?
I've seen they are R350 - has anyone been on these? Is it worth it?

R350 for a distillery tour? I'd do it even for a cheapy whisky spot's tour. Not 100% sure on the 3 ships, but Bains I'll tour for R350 any day of the week.

The tour is well worth it. It's about 2-2.5hrs. They take you through the whole process and show you the various parts of the distillery. The line up for the tasting at the end when I was there in August was: Bains, Three Ships Bourbon Cask Finish, Three Ships 5yo, Three Ships 10yo and Bains 15yo. They provide a variety of pairing options which you can mix and match with the whisky. They also opened the Three Ships 15yo along with the Three Ships 8yo as a special treat (we had a quite a large proportion of Cape Whisky Club members there that day, asking lots of questions). I have heard however it's not uncommon for something else to be opened if the crowd is interactive enough.

I can recommend The Grillroom for lunch afterwards. ;)

Some birthday gifts.
The two on the left are what I've mentioned to friends that I enjoy in the past (glad they remembered)
Not too sure about this white walker stuff though but that would have been purchased due to me being a GOT fan.

Anyone purchase from the web launch of the Three Ships Blended Fino Cask Finish? Looks like the website crashed.
I managed to get in 4 purchases but have I only received confirmation for three bottles so far.

Anyone had a Jameson Cask Mates IPA edition? I've been keeping an eye on Makro online but it's terminally out of stock/not available online (is it available in-store)?

Hi Guys,

I still have these 2 lots of Whisky left.
We are leaving JHB in a few weeks time and I need to get rid of the stuff.

If you are interested and willing to make a reasonable offer, let me know and we can chat.

All bottles are unopened and 100% original.

PM me if possible
Had to look up Glayva - had never heard of it before

You should post the minimum price you're willing to accept for each bottle (or the entire lot).
