Don't know how I have only now found this thread.

Anybody know of any liquor stores that have a wide selection of whiskeys in the Randburg or surrounds area? Especially bourbons. Looking for Buffalo Trace in particular. But would like to stand in front of a shelve and have a wide variety of whiskeys to choose from.

Bottega Cafe and Solly Kramer in Parkhurst
Whiskybrother in Hyde Park
Riverside Liquors in Bryanston
NGF in Illovo
Boulevard Liquor in Rivonia
Savoy Liquors - they don't usually increase the prices on their old stock, picked up my Laphroig 18 for R1000
And of course the usualy franchise stores like Ultra Liquors/Liquor City/Checkers Liquor

Same price at the Tops I went to yesterday.

Wasn’t going to but popped into a Tops near the office on the way home yesterday. Got there at quarter to 5 and waited for about 3 minutes before being allowed in.

The beer fridges were empty, as in NOTHING in them. Whisky stocks were very low but there was plenty wine.

I have a WB, checkers liquor and a Getwine in transit. That is over and above what I got on Monday from Woollies and tops! Never ever again will I be out of drink!
