That Cigar malt is literally my favourite dram. Really enjoyed that...wish my bank account agreed.

Edit* I've only had it twice.
I've got a 1L but I promised myself that I will finish some other already opened bottles before I have a sip.

Went on a quick recce yesterday afternoon and the whisky situation at most stores didn't look good, only dirt cheap or expensive whisky leftover.

So I managed to complete my WiskyBrother order at 12:00 according to their shopify page. Order confirmed email at 12:01 payment went off at 12:00 and now I got an email to say they oversold Blaaack and I won't be getting a bottle.

To be honest I think if they keep receiving stock in this low a volume, it's going to have to be lottery based.

If anyone else got cancelled I'd strongly recommend finding out who to write to at rgbc (who import Ardbeg afaik). I understand the allocations were supposedly done on Ardbeg 10 sales but wow this year ngf didn't even get any stock it seems! I also know from watching the cringe-worthy Ardbeg day stream that there were a fair proportion of South African fans from across the country. The fact stock sold out in like 2 minutes is crazy and really does show how much support the brand receives here.

That said I think it's probably safe to say Ralfy is right on Ardbeg special releases, way too much money and the core range is good enough.

I got the same email as well. Not happy but right now it's up to whiskybrother who now decides who gets and who doesn't so I doubt the timing of the order confirmation makes a difference.

This is such BS !! There's something else going on here then. I wonder who the select few are that get to keep their bottles?

A really bad showing by WB here and it will hurt their customer loyalties...

I wonder when I can expect MY email?

I literally sat and refreshed the page for about 2 minutes before 12. When that button turned orange I clicked and paid within less than a minute.

So how do these "oversold" decision get made then?

And are you getting a full refund or are they at least still giving you that bottle of Ardbeg 10 at that special price?

Never had anything delivered but I have been to their shop, they do have a fairly limited range for whisky (but it's decent), in-store they have a few more things than are online. They have a nice range of other spirits. So yeah it's a legit business.

I've checked my payment confirmation and WhiskyBrother confirmation, says 12:01. Same as you, I was refreshing from 11:58 and ordered as soon as the option was available. I've selected the import option so now I'll just wait and see if I get it otherwise I'll just cancel my entire order.

If you haven't received your email by now I'm pretty sure you're one of the few that will be getting your bottle. As you who decided I guess it's WhiskyBrother.

I actually didn't ask WHO makes the decision, but rather HOW does it get made?

Point noted, I dont think we'll have an answer to that.
Anyway, I'm obviously not happy so I'm not going to comment....I'd rather keep quiet if I've got nothing good to say.
